Skeet is a great sport for mixing and mingling, while shooters attempt to break clay targets flung into the air at high speed. The course has seven positions in a semi-circle and an eighth position halfway between stations 1 and 7. While the target path remains the same, the shooting angle varies from station to station. The skeet houses, where the targets are launched, are located at station 1 (high house) and station 7 (low house). Unlike trap where all the targets are going up and away from the shooter, skeet provides challenging crossers plus incoming and outgoing target flight paths much like live bird wing shooting.

HOW DO YOU SHOOT SKEET?

At stations 1, 2, 6 and 7, the shooter gets four targets: one high, one low and then a simultaneous pair of a high and a low target. Stations 3, 4, 5 and 8 have only two targets: one high and one low. A perfect score is hitting 25 consecutive targets.
